Default Getting Countrywide to drop prepayment penalty - possible?

Hi all. Ok, I'm current on my mortgage, but it's one of those "pick-a-pay" mortgages (I know, that was a stupid idea). I can get an excellent rate on a refi, but the problem is that Countrywide has us tied to a prepayment penalty until August of '09Is there anythign that can be done to get the penalty waived? Any suggestions on this would be much appreciated.
