Load of crap from Litton?

I have a 1st and 2nd mortgage with Litton Loan servicing that is due to reset for the 1st time on Oct 1. A couple weeks ago I called start the process of loan mod. I was told I had to wait until at least 3 months out, which would be July 1. Well I call today and was told that I had to wait until 45 days out, so about another month. I was also told they have a new system in place where they can determine if I will be eligible for a loan mod very quickly depending on expenses and bank statements, but I had to wait until 45 days out. That seems like it's cutting it close to me, and I also think it might be a pile of crap I was fed. Any ideas? Should I call back and get someone else and try again?
