My Hardship Letter - Feedback Requested Hi everyone, Thanks for making this site and providing all the information here, it's a breath of fresh air in the mess of everything else.I calculated my net available income as $126, this does include food (500) gas for the car (150), and the other items from the example form on the site. I'm not sure if those items are something that I should not list. I did include my family size in that form since I am the only one working and there is 6 of us (me, my wife, and 4 children).here's my hardship letter --------------------------------------To Whom It May Concern:I am writing this letter to explain my unfortunate set of circumstances that have caused us to become delinquent on my mortgage. I have done everything in my power to make ends meet but unfortunately I have fallen short and would like you to consider working with me to modify my loan. My number one goal is to keep my home and I would really appreciate the opportunity to do that. The main reason that caused me to be late was my bankruptcy. Soon after being late and my income not being nearly enough for my family of 6, I had fallen further and further behind. Now, it’s to the point where I cannot afford to pay what is owed to Countrywide at the current rate and support my children. It is my full intention to pay what I owe. But at this time I have exhausted all of our income and resources so I am turning to you for help.My situation has got better because of the discharge of debt in the chapter 7 bankruptcy, and I feel that a loan modification would benefit us both. I would appreciate if you can work with me to lower the rate and thus the payment so we can keep our home and also afford to make amends with your firm.I truly hope that you will consider working with me and we are anxious to get this settled so we all can move on.Sincerely and Respectfully,Mr. James XXXXXXSignature_____________________Loan #: XXXXXXXXXXXAddress: XXXXXXXXXPhone: XXXXXXXXXXXX |
