|  Question on GMAC loan mod... Hi all I am new to the boards, first time posting. My wife lost her job about 2 weeks ago. We can afford the mortgage but things are tight! I called GMAC to inquire on a loan mod. The loss mitigation agent took all my info (current mortgage, bills, other debt, etc) over the phone. They said it looks like because of my current sutuation, my debt to income ratio would qualify me for a loan mod. Said they would call me back in 30 days. Since they did not ask me to fax in any docs is it possible they are just blowing me off or could this be a preliminary screening and then later they would ask for the proof? Anyone have any experience with GMAC? Thanks in advance.:) |
