Citi Residential Lending Totally Freek'n, Sorry to hear about your mess with Citi, I feel your pain. Thank you CAT for the e-mail addresses, I have e-mailed everyone you provided. I'm tired of TRYING to speak with the same person @ Citi. I hope I'll get some answers from my e-mail. Like a lot of homeowners, I was with AMC and now with Citi. My ARM adjusted in November 2007 $500.00 and again in May $250.00, it will adjust again and again. I was initially told it was a two year "interest only" without pre-payment penalties. Come to find out it was a five year "interest only" with pre-payment penalties. AMC had our head spinning, everything was a rush, sent the notary to our home late in the evening to have everything finalized. We had our home ready to be put on the market when we were talked out of it in 2005. We should have went with our gut and sold, now we're living the American Nightmare. When I inquired about the "short sale" program, I was told to get my home listed now. The next day in early January, my home was listed. In March Citi ok'd lowering the asking price to $210,000 and we rec'd an offer of $210,000 ~ did Citi accept ~ of course not. When my agent attempted to reason with Senior Management, she was told "we want the home to go into foreclosure, we dont' care!!" My agent was shocked and amazed at the attitude. What a waste of time for my agent, she worked very hard to sell my house. It just blows you away. My agent told me she could no longer list my home, it was hopeless working with Citi. She told me they were absolutely "hateful" and she had never dealt with a bank like this before (20 years in real estate). I have sent "hardship letters, Written Request Letters and Loan Modification Letters. The only response I got was to the "Written Request Letter." I wrote another letter after the offer was rejected and cc'd Governor Schwarzenegger and Calif. Senator Dianne Feinstein, no response either. I just e-mailed that letter to the addresses CAT provided, we'll see what happens now. I'm exhausted and want this put behind my family. Amazing enough the potential buyer still wants my home and his agent has been attempting to work with Citi. Of course, they don't return her calls either. I'm keeping my fingers crossed something good will come out of my e-mails. Thanks again, I'll keep you posted. Good luck Totally Freek'n, send e-mails, it can't hurt. |
