Default CitiMortgage/HomEq Servicing Loan Modification

Oh were do I start. In Jan 07 we started a remodel/addition to our house of 9 years. Our contractor & broker seem to be pushing us into an kind of a loan we could get. Which it took us quite a bit to get one that we weren't too sure about but figured once the remodel/addition was done we'd refinance and get into a 30 year fixed and leave alone for the remainder of our loan. Our loans were through New Century and once they went belly up we started to stress. Not to mention that the 1st was a 9.275% and the 2nd was a 12.900%, fixed and about $5K a month and no impound accounts. We started in Jun/Jul 07 to get a refinance started and found that every loan program was closing over night. So then in Sept 07 we started to "try" to talk to our lenders. It was like talking to a brick wall and customer service what? You may as well be at least 3 to 4 months behind before they even consider helping you! Oh wait that's right lets just split the payment into 3 months would that help you out? Huh No. It's no wonder people are giving up on "trying" to fight for their homes. These collection departments for these lenders have no clue the kind of mess they are making in not forwarding people to someone that can help. Do they really know the bottom line total of homes they have in their portfolios, probably not? It's just very interesting how these companies run their businesses!! Or even know what is going on, which they don't! We have finally gotten in touch with NACA as of Feb 08 and are still trying to get a loan modification done on both of our loans to help us out. We are also filing bankruptcy as we can't pay both the maxed credit cards & a mortgage. This last year was the year from H-E double hockey sticks for us. We lived in our house with 2 kids through the remodel/addition, lived in a 38 foot trailer in our front yard for a month and my in-laws for 2 months until we moved back into our home. Almost lost a grandma, my husband was in the hospital twice throughout the year and found out our youngest son may at some time need surgery to fix a leaky heart valve due to turbulant blood flow into the valve and a friend committed suicide. Not to mention our loan issues. One of my "nice" experiences with CitiMortgage's collections department was calling to check to see if they had received my fax for our "Hardship" packet. Mind you I took the information off of CitiMortgage's website. The lady told me that I had faxed it to the wrong place and that I needed to fax it to this other number. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told, oh well this wasn't a supervisor issue. I'm sorry but I really beg to differ as I took the information off of you're website and you're telling me that I have the wrong information? No I really wasn't hot under the collar after dealing with these types of people every single time I've called. By the way was put into a supervisors voice message. UNBELIEVABLE customer service!! Don't get me started on HomEq servicings customer service. Let's just say if I could go through the phone I would! Is there any kind of other things we can do to help in speed up the process? I do understand that NACA is swamped as my husband and I both took time off of work to go to one of their seminars and their main office in Englewood, CA. This was one of the only alternatives that we had. Their phones ring off the wall!! We saw first hand of that, was not stop! Not to mention our counselor is swamped with every walk of life wanting help as well. Sorry don't mean to go on and on. But this is how it's been going and my husband and I just want to save our house. I keep telling him they are going to have to pull me out of here kicking and screaming. I know they say it's just a house but we've put all of our money back into this house and have lost it all. We are scare to even find out what it's worth now not to mention scare we are going to lose it! Please give us any kind of advice.Thank you very much for your time,Mike and Shayla Hiller
