Countrywide Modification Success - All In One Month

Hello: I want to share my countrywide loan modification story with everyone, first to say that nothing is unsurmountable if you place your trust in the mighty hands of God through the glory of Jesus Christ, and second to acknowledge the help and work of Tabitha Mackellar. Like most of you, I was in over my head with my mortgage. I was one of those affected by the mortgage debacle and after experiencing two life emergencies, I fell behind on my mortgage. Because my mortgage payment was high, I had no cushion and could not recover from the expenses from the life emergencies I experienced. In addition, our house is "upside down" in value. It lost a tremendous amount of value over the last year (we live in FL). Knowing that I had an ARM, I was terrified of my future. To make a long story short, I was behind 2 payments on my mortgage and decided to try for a loan modification with Countrywide. I prayed for guidance and did a great deal of research to get information about loan modifications. I then found zinomortgage.org. At first, I was horrified by the stories posted on the forum. But again I prayed and found the success forum. After reading the stories, using the Income & Expense Sheet on the Homeowner tool box , and seeing the email addresses for the mass email Cat suggested, I came across Tabitha's name and number. I decided to call her. Tabitha answered. After gathering my paperwork package with my hardship letter, I faxed Tabitha the information and she told me to wait a week. She said she would put my package in the hands of the right person. I continued to pray and a week later I called Tabitha for an update (per the suggestions on the forum). To my surprise, Tabitha said I had been approved for my modification (6% fixed for 5 years then 7% fixed for the remaining life of the loan). She also confirmed that this was approved by the investor and that she would be sending me the paperwork via fedex the next business day. After all was said and done, it took one month to get the loan modification completed, closed, and updated in the online system. My first payment on my loan is September 1st and I am able to make my payment online. This is a true testament of God's Grace and mercy - I am a success story of the unusual kind. The more powerless I felt, the more fear consumed me, the more I turned to prayer and asked Jesus for a shoulder to lean on, for God knows we are weak and of little faith. But if we turn to God with our weaknesses, he will give us peace. I turned away from what I thought I knew (I spent hours on this forum, even doubting it would be this simple a process), turned to Christ, and waited for his resolution, and despite my doubts, here I am. If you are in the middle of this or any other awful situation, know that God knows you are weak and that he wants to be your pillar. Turn to him with your doubts and fears and you will find peace. I am thankful for Tabitha Mackellar and pray that God see's her for how she's touched others, even if her intentions are elsewhere. I pray for all of you reading this and encourage you to believe in what is unbelievable. I am thankful for this forum and for all the hope and support it provides.
