First Franklin Success after 8 months of Runaround! This is my first post on this wonderful website. I just continued to view other success stories with the high hopes that I would be there as well. I also followed the advise from other postings that were in my similar situation and now I'm finally at the point of a pre-mod or payment plan agreement that will then turn into a modification if all pre-mod payments are made on time. In October of 2007 we made our last payment due to loss of my job and just being in over our heads. We even moved out in early Jan 2008 to a rental property thinking it was over. After finding this website I convinced my husband to move back and fight for what we have worked for for so many years. We were served papers in March 2008. We moved back to our home in early April 2008 and the fight was on. I made phone call after phone call to the point where I was recognizing the names and voices of the different representatives. You almost NEVER get the same person; their either no longer with the company, not at their desk, sick, promoted or mysteriously vanished from the company when you ask for someone that's been helping you on your file. So, just call in and get someone who is willing to help you. If they seem like they don't want to help hang up and try again for someone who will. It's time consuming and stressful and worth it; you just need to keep on going till you make some headway. I did write a QWR and I know that saved a lot of time. The sale dates just kept getting pushed back. We still do not have a sale date. Our court hearing, where they were setting the sale date, was cancelled because the judge did not have our info "packet" with him. He said that happens very rarely! The foreclosure will stop as soon as the first payment of 2950 is made July 7th. It went up from 2450. But it includes all attorneys fees and escrow shortage beacause First Franklin/ Home Loan Services is also acting as a debt collector. When we successfully make all 3 payments for July, August and September at 2950 our payment will go down to 2730 which includes escrow; our interest rate will drop 1% to 8.75% and it will be fixed for 3 years without the ARM adjusting in August. It's not much but that is all they could offer considering how far behind we were. That will give us time to get our credit back together and apply for another modification to bring the payment and interest down even further. I'm so happy that we did not give up and I credit this website for giving me the courage to fight! Thanks Moe and everyone else here that believes in the American Dream! :) God bless...... I can send a copy of my pre mod if any one would like to see it. |
