First Horizon My husband and I purchased a home August 2007 through First Horizon. I have been paying and have proof of it. Two months that I sent personal checks, they "misteriously" did not recieve them. So, I worked out an arrangement with Rachel at First Horizon. As of May 31, I sent the company all the money from those two payments and enough to cover June and July's payments. In May I got a notice of filing a foreclosure. In June, I received the payment I sent in May only to have it stamped at their office with a date in June as receiving it. Their lawyers office wasn't sure but they considered maybe First Horizon had an internal problem. I've been going back and forth and haven't heard anything until yesterday. On top of me reminding them their illegal process, they set a court date of Sept 17. In SC you are supposed to have 3 weeks notice and it placed in legal, neither happened. I contacted them and stated I want a trial by jury which is in the Constitution and that I would file complaints through FDIC and Consumer Affairs. My lastest response is this is not necessary. I don't have the money for a lawyer to fight this, I'm just using what I know. And, what I know is we are being treated unfairly and against the fair credit act. Anyone else deal with this? |
