GMAC Modifation

Dear Surreal and Dave&Brandy:I'm up at 3 am losing sleep over how to deal with our mortgage with GMAC. It will be re-setting and we have been road-blocked by their CSR 10 months ago when we inquired about a loan modification. We need the loan modification because it is at 8.9% interest from the beginning and the $3,918 monthly mortgage payments have been A STRUGGLE FROM THE GET-GO, 2 years ago. Freezing the rate only will lead to ultimately losing the house in a foreclosure because our income is not improving and we are barely getting by paycheck-to-paycheck.That said, I am thrilled to find this forum and to learn that you have had success with GMAC Mortgage in a loan modification. I tried to find Cat's reference to "SUCCESS SECTION" wherein a member by the name of Andrew would have posted the contacts at GMAC Mortgage. I somehow could not find it. Maybe it's fatigue.... You did reference a gentleman by the name of JAVID JABERI. I would like to send him and whoever else is in the contacts list for GMAC, our hardship letter to start this process. I'm hoping to hear back from you and everyone else dealing with GMAC Mortgage. NOTE: I am in Northern Virginia but perhaps its still best to deal with their corporate office in Horsham PA...?Thanks,Debbielee
