GOing through a modification and chapter 7 at the same time - HELP!

Hopefully you can help me. - I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in March and the creditors meeting was held in May of this year. The deadline for debtors to object is in July. My modification was recorded (w/ASC) on 4/7/08. They said it can take from 30-90 days to receive an answer. I faxed all necessary paperwork (hardship letter, etc) to ASC on 6/9/08. I have been calling 1-2 times per week. - ASC filed a release on my home on 6/2/08.- My budget shows a surplus of $483.00- I was on a forbearance (repayment) plan around the end of 2007 and ASC let me "skip" one payment and divided up the rest to add to the regular monthly payment.- After 5/30 I was not allowed to pay any "partial" payments on the loan- I am behind (as of 6/1) 5 payments and since I am not allowed to pay partial payments, I now owe $12,296.42 My hardship letter explained how my family went from having a "comfortable" living standard to basically living on savings and/or credit cards because my husband was kept back in South America after a three week vacation because his residency card expired. I had to come back with my two sons and basically start his immigration process from the start. This took 9 months and a lot of $$ for an immigration attorney - we were able to be rejoined in December of last year and he just started working again in March. Do you think there is a possibility of getting a modification? Thanks for readung - karli05
