Help with Countrywide!!!!! What to do?

I'm glad I found your web. I don't know what to do or where to start!!!Very depressed and scared and tired...Well, in December 2006 we refinanced our house with this slick sales guy with Countrywide, we were looking to combine some debt and he was more then happy to help. Are Credit Score wasn't great, but not bad either.I was off of work due to auto accident and current mortgage company had treated us badly. Had about 3 late payments in 4 years.So, the Countrywide sales guy said they could combine our debt and could only give us fixed 8.875 w/8300.00 in closing costs that I still don't know what they all are for. SO, I foolishly took it.So, then in June 2007, he calls back..good news..are credit score is suddenly better and he could know offer us 7.265 fixed and it would lower our paymeny by 300.00 a month..small amount to close. Of course, I said yes because I wanted to lower our payment and knew I had to wait 2 years to re-finance with a different company. ( I was told this by my credit union, who held original mortgage, because of late payments in 2006). In July, the Title company comes to our home and they are just going through signing quickly and after I see rate of 7.728 and closing fees of 9,566.00. I freaked out and called sales guy and he was telling me that becuse we re-finaced in short time period and I didn't understand his explanation of interest rate. I hung up on him and never spoke to him again. The WORSE part is are montly payment was lowered only by 40.00 dollars.He couldn't explain that either, so I thought , we just got raped by them in fees, with no where to go. Since, we had the 2 year thing.Now, we are stuggling to make payment due to my husband being off work ill and myself being off work due to a death and illiness in family. Credit card bills, gas and electric bill, GAS in general. Like everyone else.I have made the payment by the 15th, the last 6 months. This month I can't scrap together the payment yet and we need to do something.I'm don't know where to start? I feel we got put thru the ringer with Countrywide on that 2nd refinace. Complete and total rip-off.What should I do? Where to start? I'm afraid to call them because of what I read on here. The last thing I could take is a mean, heartless person on the other end of phone. It makes me sick the amount in fee's we owe on our mortgage from them..I know most people are dealing with rates that aren't fixed, but what Countrywide did to us is horrible. I feel very stupid and knew things wern't right, but I guess thats where they come in and take advantage of people, as I see on here.Can someone help direct me !!!!!I live in Wisconsin.....Kitty:(
