I hope you can help... Hi all,I'm so glad I discovered this site and this forum. I live in Los Angeles, and I bought a home 4 years ago for 970,000. I had help from family for a down payment, and I took out a 40-year neg am option arm with first federal bank of california. The loan amount was 776,000. Right now, my loan is at 895,000. My loan will reset next June. My home is now still worth more than I paid - probably around 1,160,000. I don't know if that's good or bad for the negotiation process. My monthly payments are about to be 2700 a month, with over 3000 being tagged on to my loan principal. My income had to be stated, because as a member of the clergy, a major segment of my income is not taxed or listed as my gross income.Do you know if it's better if I show my w2's, listing me as not making enough to make it, or if I show my bank statements showing my true income?I contacted First Federal and they sent me a packet to fill out. I'm unsure how to show my income, (as above), and also how to phrase my hardship. I don't really have any hardship to continue paying the 2700/month. The hardship is from listening to my broker who said I would just refinance again after 5 years. Do you have any idea how I could phrase this? Thanks for your help, and G-d bless you!:) |
