IndyMac Bank Homesaver Program I need help understanding the Homesaver Program. On August 15, 2008 my husband and I received a letter, Truth In Lending and Promissory Note from Indymac Bank to help catch up our mortgage payments. I had been off work for a year due to the illness of one of our kids and we had fallen behind. Anyway, I had read about the program on this forum and knew it was a blessing so we signed it and returned it the same day in the enclosed FedEx envelope. As I was sealing the envelope the thought crossed my mind that I should wait until I could make copies to return the forms but excitement and relief overtook me and I sent it on! Needless to say that decision is now haunting me... Since I wasn't sure how this program played out I called last week to see if the mortgage had been brought current and it had not and furthermore, we did not qualify for that or any other programs they offer! Well, i am shocked of course and make several calls every day only to get a different answer from every person I talk to. The most disturbing answer was that if we had been offered the program it would be notated in our file and it is not. My question....Is it possible for us to have been offered the Homesaver Program and Customer Service and Loss Mitigation at Indymac not have knowledge of it. I do have the FedEx sender copy that was included and a copy of the signature where it was received but what does that prove? I know how stupid the decision was to not make copies but I really hope that there is some confusion within the different departments at Indymac! Any help or advise is greatly appreciated!
