Default Let your voice be heard..post your home on my Partial Map

I've had it. How many people have to go through all of this before something gets done. I've another way we can be heard in addition to this great forum. I've started a Platial map for families who are losing or have lost their homes. Check it out:A Place to Grieve for a Lost Home - Platial.com (http://platial.com/map/A-Place-to-Gr...505870)or:Home on Main Street (http://weallhavedirtylaundry.blogspot.com/)I want to show people that this is really a crisis. My map is called, "A Place to Grieve for a Lost Home" and my username is Storesinamom. Please add your homes to my map. I would suggest that you find a picture of you and your family in front or behind your house and put it on the map. Home is not just a mortgage account number or a house. It's more than that. There is just something special about a place where you and your family grow together. We have so many memories. We've lived in our house for 10 years in October. We moved here when my oldest daughter was 1. She doesn't remember any place else. We've invested in our community and our neighbors. So, please look at my map and post on it. We have got to be heard. The people who have lost their homes need a place where their struggles are being heard. Many are living in hotels, campsites, or crowding in with other family.I think the thing that makes me most mad is that the banks have been so unwilling to work with people. They say they want to work with you but putting your account into foreclosure when you are only four months behind is not working with you. In our economy the way it is, it can take that long just to find a new job. When you do finally find that new job, instead happily moving the amount you are behind to the end of the loan, they demand giant lump sums or extremely high payments over several months. You're already behind on everything because you've been out of work. You can't keep up with the high payments and bam! Too bad. They'd rather repo your house and sell it for practically nothing than find a way to make it work for you. Then you hear them complain that they are going under. Something more has got to be done.I think it would be best if the government put bank regulations in place that allow for forbearances or deferments. Many of us know that when a student gets out of college, if they have trouble finding a job or fall on hard times, their student loans can be put on hold for a specific amount of time. The interest still accrues during that time but the loan does not go into to default. This needs to happen for home loans. Not all banks are willing to do this on their own. I think this has to be a regulation.Join with me and let it be evident that foreclosure does not discriminate. Post on my map.Sincerely,Ms. L Storesina
