life happened fast

:confused:well, here goes. my wife (at the time) and i bought a house in surprise AZ in june of '06 and fell for the sub-prime loan. even though i knew better, i agreed, perhaps trying to save a marriage. less than 1 year later, we divorced and i have the house and joint custody of my daughter. i'm active duty military and have now been assigned to south dakota. i've tried explaining this to Chevy Chase and asking for a loan modification since february of this year but to no avail. i've been in san angelo texas for training and will be until december, then it's off to south dakota. time is running out and i'm just wondering if hiring a real estate/loan lawyer is the right thing to. any other options are of course more than welcome.
