Default my first franklin vendetta...

hi all! would first like to thank "moe" and anyone else involved in this website! it's very sobering to know, that in this day an age there are people that will try to help you instead of use you for monetary gain.well... here it goes 4 years ago myself and my wife had purchased our first home (i.e;this one) everything was grand, we were living the "american dream!" and this dream lasted for about 2 1/2 years until, the downward spiral of the housing market had reared its ugly head! i say that "ugly head" because for 17 years i have been a 4th generation operating engineer, whose bread and butter was, you guessed it building house's. as time went on over the months work had became more and more scarce to find, and bills were piling up. up til that 2 1/2 year point i was always on time with my bills and mortgage. being a first time home buyer, i was a little "worried" as to how the process went, we wanted a fixed mortgage but do to hovering past medical bills, and ok credit we opted for the "3 year arm." we had gotten a great deal on our home, a lady who a friend of a family member had come up from arizona to reside in our great state of wisconsin, but after one midwestern winter decided that it was to cold for her. so this is where "we" entered the equation, we got the house for 175,000 and had it appraised to find out that it was worth 210,000, the lady was aware of this and said, " i only want the down payment " fair enough.as the housing crunch continued to grow and grow, the ability to work became less and less, until the day that literally, there was no work. as bills pile up and phone calls begin, decisions needed to be made on what was going to get paid. my only concern at that point was the mortgage, everthing else can wait. while i am laid off i try to make adjustments and tweaks here and there to keep our heads above water on what the state calls unemployment, my beloved wife's health takes a turn for the worse! about 1 1/2 years ago my wife had to have a total knee replacement, sounds like not that big of deal right?.. well she is only 41 years old. after confering with doctor after doctor and trying to find the right one that meets our needs and and is still in our insurance plan, weeks had past. then the day came for the operation, a tense and riveting 5 hours of surgery and 7 days in exteneded recovery, we our finally home.with me being laid off for the last 6 weeks ( at that time) my wife looking at 6 months to a year recovery, (before she could if think of returning to work) the looming and sometimes threatening letters and phone calls begin, ahh just what i need; more stress! after nursing my wife back to what i call "being able to get out of bed on her own health," which has taken about 3 months and still no call for work. so i make an executive decision that i must go out of town to find work. which turns out to be a good decision, but i tell ya having to be away from my wife ( which we have been together night and day for 6 years) was tough, not to mention that she was still recovering, but after talking to family members to see if they could help us out while i am out of town with the physical therapist daily things etc. which then brings us to labor day weekend 2008 upon working out of town for the last two months i am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. the money is coming, i'm on a repayment plan with ff and progress is beingmade "YIPEE!" right? eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! nope wrong answer! august 29, 2008 i get a phone call from wife saying that i have to come home becuase she has to go into surgery again! she has to have an emergency back fusion because two of her disk's have herniated in her lower back! so off i go to home, to take care of my wife, she is a real trooper after having all this happen to her she still keeps her head up, and is the foundation that keeps me from throwing in the towel! well here we are to date i am 5 payments behind on my mortgage my wife's in recovery (for the next 6 to 8 weeks) an the job i was working on is completed an i am on the waiting list with my union for work. could it get any worse....yeah it could! friday i was served with papers as to the foreclosure of our home! so i this point i am so confused as what to do. i have talked to first franklin and told them i can give them 4000.00 dollars an they put me on repayment plan, which means next month i have to give them 2750.00 by october 15 dont know what hat i will pulling that white rabbit out of but just have to see.and my 3 year arm is to change in november! WHOOPIE!any help would be greatly accepted... SIGHNED: LIVING THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE
