My Mother's Litton Success! I must give a special thanks to the folks hear at zinomortgage on my mother's behalf. Using the email addresses provided on this site, I sent an email on my mother's behalf asking for assistance. In no time my mother received a call from Litton pledging that they would help her obtain a modification. It took them about 10 days and they came back with a 1% decrease in the interest ratewhich amount to a $250 decrease in her payment. She had to make one months' payment as a contribution and her new payments would start 10/1 (this approval happened in August). We waited and waited for the paperwork and nothing came. We called and called and still nothing came. Everytime we sent an email (we included Larry Litton on all), we received a prompt call back letting us know that the paperwork was forthcoming. My mother and I spoke to someone close to the end of September and expressed our concern about not receiving the paperwork and the fact that October 1st was fast approaching. In addition, she had recently has a major gas leak which caused her to spend the funds that she was saving for her contribution and it would be hard to make the contribution and the 10/1 payment. The Litton rep stated that they would go back to the investor to ask that the contribution be waived or collected at a later date. I asked if while at it they could request an even lower interest rate. They said that he would most likely not be approved but that they would request it. This was a week and a half ago. My mom called me at work today and stated that she received a fixed interest rate of 5.4% for 40 years (her loan was originally adjustable for 40 yrs at 8.4%. We never imagined that they would go so low. Now her payment has dropped approx. $600 per month. So i would just like to say thanks to Moe and all the others that work hard to inform homeowners here on this site. For those of you working with Litton, just keep the faith. If you get the right person, it seems that they will advocate for you. Now I just need to have MY Wells Fargo mod approved and all will be well :(. |
