Need Advice with Ditech/GMAC

I have a first mortgage with Wilshire and a second mortgage through Ditech/GMAC. I mailed in a hardship letter to both companies on 7/29/08. I have been in contact with Wilshire and my information has been forwarded to a loan officer as of 8/1/08 - I still have not heard whether or not they will do a loan modification but at least I have someone to contact. My second mortgage is the one I am having the most trouble with. I have called every week , left messages on the automated system and can not get anyone on the line or to call me back - I actually put my phone on hold and held for 4 hours last week while I continued to work. Can someone please tell me how to get someone to let me know what is going on with my request?
