| I applied for a loan modification w/(SLS). During my follow-up call, i was told that my request for loan modification was denied. The representative from SLS informed me that based on my income and expenditures declaration, I do not qualify for a Loan Modification. he particularly informed me that they will not consider clothing, house/yard manitenance and internet/cable expenses as allowable expenses. My total income is $259 more than my total expenditures as shown on the income-expenditure sheet. (Income $5422.00, expenditures $5163.00, 2 dependents) After almost 35 minutes of discussion, the person hang-up and I called again within 5 minutes and this time another person picked up and he happened to be a good guy and tols me that my expenditures had to be at least 10% less than my total income to get it approved(this was quite contrary to what i was told by the first person who mwas acting like a bad guy). I contacted again and this time a lady picked up and i had a long conversation and was told exactly the same thing as the first bad guy. She said I had 55k in my 401k, 14k in stocks and 10k in bank account, there is no way this modification can be approved by the investors. she said that she was therefore not even submitting this to the investors. Just 2 minutes later I contacted again and asked the call to be transferred to the good guy. The lady who picked up told me that my case was formally assigned to the good guy and she asked me to fax a copy of my 1st loans statement as a proof that property tax and hazard insurance is included in my 1st loan's monthly mortgage payment. just because I am getting contradicting statements each time I contact their Customer resolution Department, I have started feeling that they may be screwing my case. Did anyone have similar expeience wit SLS or any other lender before or guide me how to proceed in this situation? Any help will be highly appreciated. |
