| I received my Noticed of Proposed Property Taxes this week. They say I have to pay almost $7000. The Appraiser increased the value of my house by $41,000 and they say as per Fla Law, they have to use market values from January.I went to see them this morning, and they gave me an application for Petition For Review, which I have to present in person next week, and show them, using my own resources, that the value of my house went down.In what planet are they living? Why do I have to demonstrate that the values they used in January 2008, are not the same in Sep ???Anyway, I will go to the appoinment with my "evidence" to see if I can get to lower my taxes.I'll keep you posted. |
