| Hello All! I am gathering a lot of information from this group and I appreciate everyone’s story. This site has been a great stress reliever for me! I have a couple of questions: 1) At what point do you typically get a Notice of Default (NOD) letter? Is that 2 months or 3 months after you fall behind on payments? Does it depend on the lender and the state? My lender is Indymac and I am in California. 2) From the date of the NOD, how long do you have before they actually officially foreclose? I am trying to time everything as in 6 months I will be in a totally different financial situation and I will be able to make my monthly payments again (even if they do not give me a loan modification) so I am trying my best to analyze my timing. Thanks for all your help! |
