Default Re-Payment plan, but want a modification!?

Good morning to all on this forum,( a pre-Thank-you for reading my long post) My husband and I bought our first house June/05, a small cape for the amount of 206,000, a 80/20 loan, so we had two loans. Ones that we could afford. My husband changed jobs in 2006, with this change our healthcare costs a week went from $86.00, to $215.00 a week. We became behind in payments. Litton approached us with a loan mod.(aug 07), which we took advantage of since our 1st mortgage was about to adjust. They fixed our 1st loan at a 5.95%, adding in our late payments. Payment now $1040.00 (orginal 901.00) They lowered the rate on the second mortgage from 10.75%, to 7.95. Payment now $208.00 (orginal 386.00) In the meantime my husband got more money from work now. Payments shouldn't be problem.....all went well. July/07 my mother is ill, she's not going to work and unable to pay her bills. July rent for mother paid by us. August she seems better. October she's sick again, I take alot of time out of work these past few months, shorting my income, to take her doctor's appt. Unable to make payment for our 1st loan. But pay mother's rent and electric bill, plus food. November,No can figure out what wrong with mom, she's not going to work, no income, means no rent money again. Mother does have good job, making really good money. If she can get well, she'll pay us back. So November 1st mortage not paid again. Dec/ Mom is not doing well, take her to emergency room, she's admitted evidence of strokes. Was able to make payment for 1st mortage this month. Jan/09 mother admitted into nursing home. Mother receives evicition notice, landlord is tired of not getting paid on time. Rent truck, pack, move stuff to storage that i'm paying for. 1st mortage not paid again. Not sure what's up with mom. Feb/09 Mom has dementia from the strokes, and not taking care of her diabetes age 56 ( take care of yourselves people) Mom will stay in nursing home basically forever... Nursing home informs me, you have to pay 5439.00 or mom needs to leave. They didn't file paperwork in timely fashion...whatever ugh! Valid debt, I'm an only child...still owe 2400 too. So by April I'm a wreck, everything is mess can't pay my bills. hanging in there though. Go to make payment for 1st mortage, somehow i miscounted the 45 days. I have gone into foreclosure, payment's due back to 12/01/2007. I never called Litton with my problem, I didn't know they would of helped to a degree. So now I call "what can I do?" They arrange a re-payment plan. Oh yeah I have negative escrow balance too. Everything is a mess. They ask for $2295.85 up front and payments of $1770.01 for 19 months. I agree,I don't want to loose my house. So I've been paying this amount since 5/25/2008, have made 4 payments of the 19. Will be making 5th this Friday. In the meantime, i called back asking about a loan mod., was told that's only for people with adj. rate mortgages. okay?? I'm having trouble making these payments, not sure how long I can do this.... Other bills have gone in default (ie credit cards) payments late for car loan... I would like modify my loan to inculde all amounts owed, and open an escrow account. I just can't afford making 1 full payment, plus a 3/4 payment every month ($1040 plus $730.71). Even re-working the the re-payment plan, extending the time would be fine to 48 months at least. At the rate this going i will lose my house, and it makes me ill. Is there any help for me? Is paying almost double payments for 5 months, should show my abilty to pay, and the fact i don't want to lose my house. Will Litton work further with me, how do I get them too? I have no more savings, I'm at rock bottom. Thank-you for reading my story and for any replies. Hopeless In Rhode Island :(
