sale date scheduled for 9/10/08 - pls help i'm so glad of learning abt this web site .. let me get straight to my story, my property is in california. i have a sale date scheduled for this wed. 9/10/08 .. my mortgage is with litton loan servicing, and my balance is about 210k .. and my home worth about 450k. i have not made any payments since last october 2007. my monthly payment was 2k a month. the reason i have not making any payments was i have been in and out of the hospital since last yr .. and my family does not want me to concern with it since they are afraid if i had known abt the problem, my health could be worsen. i called and talked to a foreclosure agent from litton last friday .. and she mentioned that i now owe abt 45k .. including all the fees and legal costs.i'm abt 10 months behind .. which amount to abt a little more than 20k .. and i indicated to litton that i'm willing to come up with 8k to show my good faith of keeping the house, but they refuse to accept it. my question is .. 1) what else can i do within the rules and laws of preventing or extending the sale date? 2) if the house is being auctioned this wednesday and was sold .. do i have a redemption period of getting the home back? if anyone know anything that i can do to keep my home, i would greatly appreciate. thanks in advance. |
