Wilshire and Bogus fees Well, Wilshire is up to new tricks for bogus fees.We sent in our property insurance payment directly to insurance company as usual. Then 10 days later a letter from Wilshire saying that the name on policy renewal policy was not person on loan. Again, one of us is on loan, both on title. Furthermore, they are requesting that the insurance company providing coverage for property must have A.M. Best Rating of "B" and financial rating of III or better.I told them we live in Florida, you lucky if you have property insurance.Furthermore, it was never stated in our closing docs. that the insurance company at to have any kind of special rating. They were going to place their insurance on our home and charge us three times as much. Just another way to rip off people charging bogus fees.BE CAREFUL EVERYONE!Moe, question, if at closing you only signed your intial, are you held responsible for loan, or just the person who signed whole name? |
