Default Cancelled without Prejudice?

Plaintiff dismisses the foreclosure complaint _in the within_ action against all defendants named therein, withoui prejudice. Does anyone understand this expression? It sounds to me, they will not come after in this way,* but* they are not giving up the right to come after you in another way or same way down the road. I have also seen (online) to extend statute of limitations, though I did not think that was possible. Anyone experience this in their own situation? If so, can you tell me what this meant in your case? Thanks
